M9 Bayonet in CS2: Skins, Cases & Prices
Which cases have the M9 Bayonet, which finishes you can get from each, and the cheapest way to own one.
What is the M9 Bayonet?
The M9 Bayonet is a military-style fixed blade with a slightly curved spine and a smooth, heavy inspect animation. It first appeared in the CS:GO Weapon Case (2013) and drops from 16 cases in total. Like every knife it only exists as a rare special item: it drops from a handful of cases or comes out of a Covert-to-knife trade up.
Which cases drop the M9 Bayonet?
| Case | Finish set | Finishes |
|---|---|---|
| Gamma 2 Case, Gamma Case | Gamma finishes | Gamma Doppler, Lore, Autotronic, Black Laminate, Bright Water and Freehand |
| Chroma Case, Chroma 3 Case, Chroma 2 Case | Chroma finishes | Doppler, Marble Fade, Tiger Tooth, Damascus Steel, Rust Coat and Ultraviolet |
| Revolver Case | original finishes | Vanilla, Fade, Case Hardened, Crimson Web, Slaughter, Blue Steel, Stained, Night (Night Stripe on newer knives), Urban Masked, Forest DDPAT, Scorched, Boreal Forest and Safari Mesh |
It also drops from 10 older cases with the original finishes: CS:GO Weapon Case, Operation Bravo Case, CS:GO Weapon Case 2, CS:GO Weapon Case 3, Winter Offensive Weapon Case, eSports 2013 Case, eSports 2013 Winter Case, eSports 2014 Summer Case, Operation Vanguard Weapon Case, Operation Phoenix Weapon Case.
The finish set decides which skins you can get: a Doppler or Marble Fade M9 only comes from cases with Chroma finishes.

How to get a M9 Bayonet
- Buy it: the cheapest way to get a specific finish and float.
- Knife trade up: five Covert skins from one of the cases above give a random item from that case's pool, which may or may not be a M9. Check the odds in the knife trade up calculator.
- Unbox it: about 0.26% per case for any knife, and the pool is shared with other knives, so this is the most expensive route on average.
Picking a finish
Budget finishes (Safari Mesh, Boreal Forest, Scorched, Forest DDPAT, Urban Masked) are the cheapest way into a M9. Fade, Doppler, Marble Fade, Case Hardened and Crimson Web sit at the top, and specific phases or patterns can multiply the price. More in the most expensive CS2 knives and the cheapest CS2 knives.
