Karambit in CS2: Skins, Cases & Prices
The Karambit is the most iconic knife in Counter-Strike. It has been in the game since the first weapon case in 2013, and it still has the most demand of any knife. Here is what each Karambit finish is known for, where it drops, and the cheapest way to get one.
Karambit skins by finish
Top-end
- Doppler: Ruby, Sapphire, Black Pearl. The jackpot phases.
- Gamma Doppler: Emerald. The green jackpot phase from the Gamma cases.
- Case Hardened blue gems. Pattern-driven; the best patterns are collector items. See most expensive CS2 knives.
- Fade (high %) and Crimson Web FN. The classic high-end looks.
Popular mid-tier
- Lore: gold engraved look from the Gamma Case.
- Doppler Phase 1–4 and Gamma Doppler Phase 1–4.
- Marble Fade and Tiger Tooth: bright Chroma finishes.
- Slaughter, Autotronic, Damascus Steel, Ultraviolet.
Budget
- Safari Mesh, Boreal Forest, Scorched, Forest DDPAT, Urban Masked, Rust Coat.
Which cases drop the Karambit?
| Case group | Karambit finishes |
|---|---|
| Original/early cases (e.g. CS:GO Weapon Case, Revolver Case) | Vanilla, Fade, Case Hardened, Crimson Web, Slaughter, Night, Blue Steel, Stained, the camo finishes |
| Chroma, Chroma 2, Chroma 3 | Doppler, Marble Fade, Tiger Tooth, Damascus Steel, Rust Coat, Ultraviolet |
| Gamma, Gamma 2 | Gamma Doppler, Lore, Autotronic, Black Laminate, Bright Water, Freehand |
Each case's rare pool has several knife types, so a Karambit is a small slice of an already rare 0.26% drop.
Getting a Karambit for less
- Buy a budget finish in heavy wear. It's the cheapest way to have a Karambit in your hands.
- Knife trade up: five Covert skins from a case whose pool includes Karambits give you a chance at one, though the pool also has other knives. Price it first in the knife trade up calculator and read the knife trade up guide.
- Compare with the Butterfly Knife and every other CS2 knife.
